The Përlepnica Dam, located near Gjilan, is a key water source supplying drinking water to the city and nearby areas. Originally built in the 1980s, it is now undergoing major upgrades under the FLOWS Project, including a new 3,500 m³ reservoir and 630 mm pipeline. Operated by KRU Hidromorava, the dam plays a vital role in water security, irrigation, and flood control, supporting sustainable development and climate resilience in southeastern Kosovo.
